About the Library

The Library of Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (ACTS) serves as the intellectual and research hub of the Seminary. It exists to support teaching, learning, and ministerial formation through the provision of relevant theological, academic, and digital resources. From its roots in ministerial training to its present role within a fully accredited seminary, the Library has evolved to meet the demands of contemporary theological education while remaining grounded in the authority of Scripture.


Mission of the Library

The ACTS Library exists to provide accessible, relevant, and high-quality information resources and services that support theological education, research, and holistic ministerial formation.


Vision of the Library

To become a dynamic theological library that integrates traditional and digital resources to support excellence in Pentecostal scholarship, spiritual formation, and ministry practice.


Core Functions

The Library plays a central role in the academic life of the Seminary through the following:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across all programmes
  • Providing access to theological and interdisciplinary resources
  • Facilitating research and academic writing
  • Promoting reading culture among student ministers
  • Delivering information literacy and research support services
  • Preserving and providing access to institutional knowledge


Library Collections

The ACTS Library maintains a growing collection of resources tailored to theological education and ministry practice. These include:

  • Print books in theology, biblical studies, ministry, and related disciplines
  • Reference materials including dictionaries, encyclopedias, and commentaries
  • Electronic resources such as e-books and e-journals
  • Institutional and academic publications

The collection is carefully developed to align with the Seminary’s curriculum and research priorities.


Digital Library Systems

The Library is progressively integrating modern digital systems to enhance access and service delivery. These include:

  • Library Management System (Koha) for catalogue access and circulation
  • Institutional Repository (DSpace) for research and scholarly output
  • Online access platforms for electronic resources.

These systems enable users to access information resources both on-campus and remotely.


Facilities and Environment

The Library provides a conducive environment for study, research, and reflection. Key features include:

  • Reading spaces for individual and group study
  • Computer workstations for research and digital access
  • Printing, scanning, and photocopying and lamination services
  • Quiet and structured academic atmosphere
